Camels are Crazy! (pt 2)

Cammy and I were almost over the mountains. Being in the desert for a good long while my nose got sensitive to dry and wet smells and I can smell a whole lotta wet right now.  That didn't sound good, but I didn't know any other way to describe it.
We came over another dune and as we were going down the hill there was something kicking up sand and dust. As we got closer I could see it was one of the Ramkahen guards. Cammy got startled when he tried to reach out and grab her. She took off running but I had stopped her and we turned back because I felt bad. I grabbed a rope out from the pack and tied it around the guard. Had Cammy walk forward slowly and we were able to pull him out. He was so grateful that he told us where the closest oasis was.  I knew of the other place where there was the camp around the oasis pools of water.
After he gave me directions Cammy and I continued on our trek to find it. The wet smell got stronger when we got over the last dune and I was able to see the palm trees in the distance.
Cammy and I made it to the oasis. There was a slight problem with the water when we walked to the bank. It was littered with Crocolisks. I wanted to take Cammy into the water, but I would have to kill several of them in order to do so.  We hid behind some bushes trying not to be spotted. I was about to cast my soul fire when I realized I might burn my camel's head off so I got off Cammy as quietly as possible and picked them off one by one, six total. Finally we got into the water. It didn't get too deep as we were going closer to the center. Which was actually just fine, I didn't want to take that chance of having a camel that couldn't swim. I don't think I could have rescued her.  The water was up to her back and my feet dangled in. Which to me wasn't that deep. She seemed to like it. I didn't dare going in the water tho. Who knows when one of the crocokisks were going to come back.

Camels are Crazy! (pt. 1)

Holy cripes, these camels in Uldum are crazy.  After my awesome carpet ride around this place I decided to run around on the ground. I saw this lonely camel pootin' around on the dunes so I went closer and to my surprise it didn't try to attack me or run away.  I gave it a pet on it's back and it put it's head down like he wanted me to pet him on the head, so I did. Then he bent down like he wanted me to climb up on it, so I did. Awesome, I'm riding a darn camel!
We went wandering around more dunes and came across another camel that was trying to fight an ugly hyena. Let me tell you, I thought this camel was a goner but he actually killed the hyena. Haha good for it. I'm sure the camel was minding it's own business when the hyena tried to eat it or something. After he killed it we walked over to see if he needed mending and it looked as if he was fine. Then as we were walking away, it started to follow us. Oh boy, what did I do?
This camel kept following us. I tried to shoo it away and even threw some fel flame down on the ground to keep it from following us, but no good. I even tried to scare him away with my Rain of Fire, but no go, he just kept right on coming. Finally I jumped off my camel, grabbed some sand and threw it at him. He stopped but when I got back up he still crept slowly towards us.  I can't keep two camels... can I? Right when I decided to add it to my mount collection, it took the hint and turned the other way and ran. Darn! Meh, that's ok one camel is good enough for me. I'm very greedy when it comes to mounts and I missed my chance, prolly for the best.
We then came upon an elementium node. Darn, where was Christene when you needed her? I'm not a miner so I couldn't mine this. All of a sudden from out of nowhere an Alliance swoops down. He stops for a bit, I'm guessing to see if I was going to mine it. He waves to me and I wave back. Then I point at him and then at the node, and I back away. Then he goes in for it. I'm wondering if I would have tried to fight for it if I was a miner. Might've got my butt handed to me so I'm glad I couldn't have picked at it.
As I was walking along I was trying to figure out a name for my camel. I wasn't sure if it was a girl or a boy. All I know is I wasn't about to try to look at it's junk so I just decided that it was a girl and I named her Cammy. Cammy the camel.
Cammy and I continued on the dunes and we came across a wind tunnel. I wanted to run through it. It was small enough that I don't think it would have sucked us up or anything. I just would have had a crap ton of sand tossed in my hair. It kept moving farther away from us. I had made Cammy run after it, but after about 100 feet or so, it disappeared. Boo! no fun. Darn wind tunnel. Eh that's fine, I prolly would have regretted it if it did take me up and spin me around like a rag doll. I might have lost some bones if that did happen. And besides I wouldn't want Cammy to get hurt. Alrightee I wonder what is beyond those dunes or mountains over yonder. haha yonder, who the heck says that. Yay more exploring here I come. Windy

Oh how I love Windy. She is my new Drake I got from the 200 Tol Barad Commendations from helping Hellscream's Reach dudes. She is a Drake of the West Wind and she is just gorgeous.  She has lightning sparking all through her body.
We were perched on a chain overlooking the Valley of Strength, just enjoying the view. This was my first day with Windy so  didn't want to over work her right off the bat. Albie and Violet can tell you how over worked I can make them especially while I'm doing Archeology.
I hear loud craziness going on behind us, so I had Windy turn around. We started to watch an Affliction Warlock practice his Spell rotation on the Heroic target dummies. He was hitting very hard. I currently am a destruction warlock, but I have dabbled in Affliction a while back. I tried to take notes but I could tell that Windy was getting impatient and didn't want to be stuck there any longer.
Away we flew and I had just let Windy go where ever she wanted to go, unless it was to fly somewhere ridiculous, then I would take control. It looks like she was thirsty because she stops off in front of a waterfall and takes a drink. She must have been really thirsty because we were there for a while. Come to think of it, Albie and Violet hardly stopped for drinks.
Now that got me thinking about how much of a horrible master I am.  Well the next time I take them out I defiantly will stop off at a water hole or something. I love Windy, she is so beautiful and I am so proud to be riding around on her.

Deathwing burns the coast

This was such bullpoop. I was wandering the Southern coast of the Blasted Lands when all of a sudden the sky turns red and I hear this piercing screech from up above. All of a sudden Deathwing appears and starts to burn the entire coast around me. The Nagas that were here all burn and died and luckily I was just caught between the flames.
I saw a hut that unburned yet and as I made my way up there, the flames engulfed that too.
Deathwing came back around and I had a feeling he was looking specifically for me this time, sure enough he was because he stopped right above me and blasted me with his breath. I tried to make my way to the waters edge but I was too badly burned and I died.
Spirit Healer gave me the option to bring me back to life where we were or to find my body and resurrect there. That was a tough one, I wanted to see more of the flames all around me, but I knew there was chance I would die all over again. Hmmm, I chose to run back and find my body. Was able to resurrect but by that time the flames were all out. Now I can say I "Stood in the Fire"

Vdara's life (pt 2)

After Vdara left her mom she was making her way out of the Purple Parlor and ran into her Uncle Burroughs. "Vdara my sweet! where have you been? Your father is asking me how your Alchemy training is going and I'm sorry but I have been telling him that you haven't been attending your bi-weekly training".
"I'm sorry uncle, but I won't be training with you anymore. I don't want to be an Alchemist and I don't want stay here anymore under my father's watch." He begins to cry. Uncle Burroughs was always a softy. Very sensitive and the smallest bad news always set him into sobbing fits. "Don't cry uncle, I will come and visit you every once in a while." Vdara gives her uncle a hug and turns to walk away.  "Vdara, wait my dear. I have something for you. Uncle Burroughs brings out a bag full of flasks and gives Vdara the rest of the Flask of the Frost Wyrms he had left. "This will increase your spell power by 125 for 1 hour, but use it wisely" Vdara thanked her uncle one more time and left through the portal.
On the other end of the portal she stops at the top of the stairs and digs in her bag for her invisibility potion which makes her invisible for 18 seconds so she can sneak past her father. Her Uncle Alvareaux stops her before she drinks. Archmage Alvareaux is her mother's brother and Burroughs is her father's brother, just to clarify. "Vdara, your mother told me the news. How do YOU feel about it?, is this what YOU want?".  Finally someone asking HER opinion she thought. "Uncle I am so upset I could punch a baby Furblog! I didn't agree to anything and they are already planning the wedding. What am I gonna do?" "OK my dear niece, I will talk to your father, but I can't guarantee anything. You should lay low until I call for you. When I do, that means your father has changed his mind but if you don't hear from me then that means that he's still hell bent on getting you hitched, and unless you are willing to marry that boy down there then you are going to have to stay away from here. As much as it pains me to say it, you are going to have to treat yourself as being banished from the Violet Citadel and the Purple Parlor." "I understand Uncle, let me drink this potion so I can sneak past them." "Oh no that potion works occasionally, not every time.
Do you have any light feather's or a glyph for your Slow Fall?" "No, and no" "OK here take a couple of light feathers and go back up to the Purple parlor, Use your Slow Fall ability and jump off the tower. You will land safely and you will also be away from the building so your father will not see you making a break for it." "Thank you so much uncle, just letting you know, you are saving my life"
After my less then perfect jump from the tower, I decided to go to the bulletin board to see if anyone needs a roomie or anyone needs help with anything, that way I can make money.  I see one post for a bartender needed. The post read 'Come to A Hero's Welcome Tavern  and see Stefen Cotter if you want a job. Need a bartender for night shifts. Pays 100 gold a day'. Hmmm 100 gold a day? I can make more doing quests for people. Well I guess I will give it a shot. It's better then nothing right?
So I went to see Stefen at the tavern. It was very empty in there. I think I would die of boredom but it looks easy enough. We talked for a bit and when it came time to tell him my name he responded with "Oh yeah, your father comes in here all the time" Are you serious?! Dammit, then this job is no good for me. I apologized for wasting his time, but I couldn't take the job. He gave me a drink on the house and I stayed and chatted for a bit and then I left. Who knows if my dad would be waltzing up in here.
As I was leaving I walked to the door and stopped. I heard voices that sounded a lot like my father and the douchebag. I looked out the pub door and saw the both of them headed this way. Great, I asked Stefen if there was a back way out of here but he said there was none, just a basement. That will do, "Do NOT tell them you saw me please". Stefen agreed not to and said he would come get me when they leave. I went to the basement and hid. I had to make my way through huge barrels and a crap ton of spiderwebs. I put myself in the far corner and sat for the next half hour. Stefen came to get me. Thank goodness I thought, that seemed like an eternity. "How long was I down there? ".  "about 45 minutes" says Stefen and he didn't suspect anything*phew* crisis averted. I thanked him for not telling them I was down there. Then I quickly left the tavern.
I next went to see Tybalin in the library. OK I didn't mention this earlier, but he is the reason why I didn't want to marry Aethas Sunreaver. About a year and a half ago my father would send me on these "learning missions" to Masters of certain crafts. He wanted me to train with them and learn as much as I could so I could be of some help to my father during battle. For example, he wanted me to be an Alchemist and a Herbalist. As much as I wouldn't mind doing those two professions, I just didn't like the fact that HE was making me do it. So what did I do of course, yup I never went to my scheduled classes. My father hasn't been following up on anything after sending me to trainers so he still doesn't know that I have been skipping those classes.  Instead I would go up to sit and chat with Tybalin and spend almost the whole day with him.  I had a feeling that my father would come looking there for me and I didn't want to get Tybalin in trouble. The last thing I needed was my actual boyfriend getting taken away and beaten by my father and my supposed fiance. So I kissed him goodbye and off I went.

Oh squirrel! How cute, he was on the grassy area in front of the alliance bank. I climbed up and sat on the grass with him. I had some bread in my pocket so I gave him some of that. He was so friendly and even climbed right into my lap. I needed to get going and as I was getting up, the most terrible thing imaginable happened, a hunter came riding by and shot the little squirrel. NOOoooooo! How could they! I sat by the squirrel and started to cry.  Some people in this world have no heart whatsoever.  I heard the same roaring of a motorcycle and I looked up and and a night Elf Hunter drove by yelling at me "The next time that arrow is gonna be for you!, Death to your Father!" I was in shock, not only that the poor squirrel died because of me, but that someone was actually trying to kill me because of my father's actions.  I took the squirrel to Breanni so she could bury him or something I had to lay low and fast.
I found a barbershop not too far from the Breanni's Magical Menagerie. I asked them to change my hair color.  First I had them go white but then I looked too much like my grandmother, and then red, but I looked too much like my dad. I finally just settled back onto my natural color and paid them for all the changes but just kept it my normal. I figured that if they don't like what my father stands for and neither do I, I need to find a away to join the rebellion and fight the powers that is my father and prove to everyone that I'm not on his side.   (continued... maybe)

Magic Carpet Ride

Frosty Carpet WOOT! I'm a tailor so I am able to make Carpet Mounts and my latest Carpet I so awesomely crafted was my Frosty Carpet. It's a pretty fast mount. I decided to take it for a spin down in Uldum one day. I ported to Ramkahen, mounted up and headed south.
I wanted to see Obelisk of the Sun and on my way there I passed this huge Ramkahen rock statue that had a forever burning plate of fire. This fire was massive. Looked to be like some 20 feet wide and burned about 30 feet up, I almost got too close that my carpet could have caught on fire. That would have sucked big time.  Ok bored here, next!
Next I ventured into The Lost City of Tol'vir. I totally did that by accident. The city looked like it was shrouded by high circulating winds that looked like some kind of force field from afar.
As I got closer the winds picked up but I was able to cling tightly to my carpet and ride it right through. I flew around the place for a bit staying a good distance above the ground as there were Elite baddies roaming around the place.
I came to a triangular elevated platform and in the center of the platform was a big genie looking dude named Siamat, Lord of the South Wind. I heard about him, but never knew where he was.  He is the elemental directly responsible for turning the Neferset clan of the Tol'vir into the stone creatures.  If defeated he does drop a nice Shoulder slot item I wouldn't mind getting, Mantle of Maser Cho. Stamina, Intellect, a bunch of Crit and Haste and a Blue gem slot. Niiice! But unfortunatly I don't raid anymore so I would never get the chance to kill him... maybe. Anywhos moving on.
As I was on my way out of the place when I got caught in some thick clouds. I could not for the life of me see anything in front. I was praying that there wasn't a mountain or statue in from of me, because if there were I would have been a gonner. Luckily I got out of there unscathed. But I did end up in a place I was not familiar with.
I found a little camp site and here are some of the people I met. First I stopped at Jake, oops I'm sorry "Chesty" Jake. Very proud of his ripped body that he had to add the "Chesty" before his name... lol. Nice to look at but not a lot going on upstairs if you know what I mean. He sold tools and repaired damaged gear for you. Nice boy tho.
Next was Aaron "Sandy Toes" Williamson. No shoes. No comment, kidding. Nice man, just didn't like to wear shoes. Might have got into a fight with a crocoliks and got his pant legs torn off and his shoes eaten. I didn't bother to ask him where his shoes was. I might have been in for a looong story. Sold Reagents and I didn't need anything from him. next...
Jock Lindsey, now this dude is the flight master for this campsite, but I don't know why he has the Jock label. I never thought of flight masters, or pilots for that matter, as "jocks" and he was fishing before I went over to talk to him, an fishing is sooo not jock sport... meh.
Farah Tamina was the campsite's Stable Master. She held all of the horses for the guys and kept them taken cared of. Nice girl. I know Zhar'gak isn't an animal but I let her watch him for a bit while I went to fish on a blackbelly mudfish pool.
I finally found out where I was too, Oasis of Vir'sar. Farah old me and that I am at the Northwest end of Uldum.
So back to the campsite grounds and it was getting a bit late and I was getting cold. Got Zhar'gak from Farah and we went to sit by he campfire. This was a very adventurous day for me. Got to ride my carpet and saw a part of Uldum I never saw before. Met interesting people and caught me some fishies... nom nom!

How did I get in this tree?

How in the world did I get up in this tree you ask? Well I will tell you.  I was in Tol Barad at Largo's Overlook Trying to kill Commander Largo at the top of his tower. Zhar'gak and I finish him of but my Soul fire's flame lit one of the cannon's fuses. Oh Great! before I could get down the stairs, the cannon blew and I got knocked out the side of the tower. I wish Christene was here to cast Slow Fall on me so I wouldn't go splat!
I had to think quick... Right! I had my Noggenfogger Elixir in my bag.  Hopefully my first drink will make me fall slower for ten seconds, here goes nothin' *gulp*  OK that one worked, I fell slowly to the ground errr... TREE! Dammit I forgot I can't change direction while I'm in the air.  I landed gently on the tree branch and it actually was a good thing I did. Right below me was a couple of Rustburg Villagers. I landed so gently that they didn't even notice I was up there. I hear a loud commotion from up the hill where you come down from Largo's Overlook and I see Zhar'gak coming down he hill with several of the overlook Ghosts trying to kill him. I had to help him but I couldn't get down the tree without these villagers spotting me and coming after me.
I got it! I just 'dismissed' him and he vanished and the ghosts went right back up the hill. Then I see this little thing still coming as he's getting closer I see that it's my baby raptor. I forgot he was still out. He was very smart he waited away from the tree when he saw the villagers walking around the tree and then when they left he came up to the tree and looked around as if he was trying to figure a way up. Sure enough he did. He came right by me. What a smart little raptor.
I was able to make it down the tree without any problems, mounted up on Venom and off we went back to Hellscream's Grasp to let Private Sarlosk know that Commander Largo has been killed.

26gold! AWESOME! THANKS!
