Jogu the Drunk... err Smelly?

Med and Chris were telling me about Jogu the Jinyu that sits down by the pond in Halfhill Market. Medelys is grossed out by him, but Christene sits with him for a bit everyday just to keep him company. As much as I frequent that market, I've never been down to that pond. Haven't even gotten close enough to smell whatever Med was complaining about.
As I got closer to the pond, oh boy, could I smell it. A gross fishyness smell in the air made me gag, I had to grab onto something. The vendor counter I had to catch myself on belonged to Bobo Ironpaw. "Hey little lady, you feeling ok?' asked Bobo. "Oh I'm fine, I just got hit by that horrid smell. How can you stand here everyday with that odor lurking right behind your booth?" I asked
"Actually I think I'm used to it. It doesn't bother me anymore. When Jogu first got here, I had a petition going to evict him from the premises. But that didn't work because majority of the patrons around here enjoyed Jogu. Yes he is unsightly, but he means well. We just gave him the pond there, and he was very grateful." says Bobo.
"oh how nice of you guys. Now I feel terrible. I think I shall go and visit with him...."
"OK, but why don't you bring him some Apple-berry hooch, it's really easy to make and well, he's not called Jogu the Drunk for nothing. all you need is 8 Yoon's Apples and 50 Yoon's Craneberries, bring them back to me and I will brew them for you." says Bobo.
"Oh ok, I know exactly where to get those!" I say
When Farmer Yoon gave me his farm on Sungsong Ranch when the members of the Tillers came to offer him a position to join them, I went into the house that came along with the Farm and he had them in there. Hopefullly they weren't rotten yet. I walked over to my farm and into the house. Yay! they're still good!. I grabbed what I needed and ran back to Bobo.

Bobo put the berries into his quick brewing contraption and grabbed a mug. He put the mug under the spout, turned the handle, and filled the mug with the hooch.
"Alright Deadskully, it's all done, now just go introduce yourself to Jogu and offer him this hooch. Watch out though, You might end up being his new best friend." jokes Bobo.
"Haha, I'm sure others have brought him many drinks before. It just depends on if he remembers it" I say as I walk towards the stinky pond.
As I approached there were several others by him. Turns out he asks people to fetch drinks and run errands for him and he pays them. I have no idea where he gets the gold to pay them.
Well now my drink didn't feel so special. But what am I going to do with it? I wasn't in the mood to drink it. I just decided to give it to him anyways. When the last person left Jogu, I walked up, introduced myself and offered Jogu the drink.
While he was drinking, I thought about maybe helping out Bobo and getting Jogu out of that pond. So I offered if he would like to come live in the pond on my Sunsong Ranch farm.

He was so excited and thankful, but he wanted to finish the hooch and tell everyone bye. "Alright Jogu, I'll meet you at my farm" I had to make him stand up, turn him around and show him where it was.
"OK sweet Warlock, I see where you are pointing, I shall meet *hic* you there in a bit" says a drunk Jogu. I went to my farm to wait, talked to my piggies that were in the pond. 
"Alright piggies, there is going to be a Jinyu living in this pond with you guys for a bit.

I'm sure he will end up lurking off somewhere down the line but I needed to be nice, and he is a really sweet. But I feel bad for Halfhill Market vendors because of the smell that he brought. So giving them a little break from the smelliness might help out their businesses" The piggies look at me with a puzzled stare and then continue eating pond grass. Thank you for listening! I pet them and then leave my farm for a bit.  I needed to buy more bags of Windshear Cactus seeds for my Windwool cloth plants from Merchant Greenfield. So I went back to Halfhill market.


When I got back from the market, I saw someone sleeping in my pond. "Jogu, so glad you found my farm.!"
*hic* "Thank you so much Deadskully, this is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. I appreciate it very much and it will be nice to not have all those stinky flies around me all the time. They were just so gross I was thinking about moving many times, but it was so convenient to have people there to bring me drinks and lovely apples all the time... and now I shall sleep in peace, I haven't done so in such a long time... ZZZZzzzzz....."

That was funny, he spoke like he wasn't responsible for the putrid smell. I shrugged it off and continued with my farming and when that was done, It was getting late. I went into my ranch house and fell asleep.Woke up the next day, walked down the stairs and saw Jogu still sleeping in my pond. Walked over to the market to get something to eat. Remembered what Jogu had said about the smelly pond, went to check it out. Holy cripes! it still stinks with flies buzzing all over the place. Jogu was telling the truth, the smell is from this pond, NOT him! Poor Jogu, got a bad rap and it wasn't even him.
